DIY Fallout Bottle Caps

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED

bottle caps
scissors
red spray paint
print bottle cap art here and here
mod podge matte
paint brush
magnets
glue gun
glue sticks

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Paint the bottle caps red. It doesn’t matter if you get perfect coverage. You can also use sandpaper to add scratches if you want to weather your caps.

Print out your bottle cap artwork. Trim out the circles to about one inch wide.

I recommend Mod Podge Matte so your caps don’t come out looking too new and shiny. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge on the caps, then apply the paper labels. And finally apply a layer of Mod Podge on top of the paper labels. Try not to brush the paper too much, or the ink will start to run and the image will get cloudy. One quick layer of Mod Podge will do the trick.

Allow your caps to dry completely before you add the magnets. You will want to heat up your glue gun for the next part. Apply a generous glob of hot glue inside the caps. You want the magnets to sit on top of the glue. Make sure the edge of the magnet is taller than the edge of the bottle cap. This way the magnet can stick well to any metal surface.
