First spotted by John Peters (you know, the farmer) the Night Vale Glow Cloud made a sudden entrance into town from the west. It glows in a variety of colors. And now you can make one for your very own. This Glow Cloud light makes an awesome night light or room decor.

DIY Welcome to Night Vale Glow Cloud
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED
2 LED click lights
paper lantern
string
polyester or cotton batting
Neon fabric spray paint
glue gun
glue sticks
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare your lights: Put batteries in two LED click lights and make sure they’re working. Cut a long piece of string and stick it to the back of one click light. Stick the other click light on too. Now you have a two-sided light on a string. Tie the light inside the lantern. First tie the string to the top of metal lantern insert. Then insert it into the lantern and stretch and clip the paper over.
Create the Cloud: Add polyester or cotton batting to the lantern to create the cloud. This takes a lot of hot glue. Work in patches to cover the lantern. Then add more batting to make a cloud shape. Make sure to glue the batting securely, so your cloud doesn’t sag or fall apart.
Add the glow: I recommend neon fabric spray paint. Start by coloring the bottom. Put your cloud light in a box or on a protected surface with the bottom up. Add layers of color. I began with Magenta pink, then added patches of neon blue, and finished up with a few yellow accents. You can use any colors you like. Once the paint has dried completely, flip the cloud over and repeat that process with the top and the sides.
Let the paint dry completely and your Glow Cloud is done.

Are you able to replace the batteries if they die?

To replace the batteries you would slip the string off the hook and pull the lights out of the top of the lantern. Then open the lights and replace or recharge the batteries. So make sure to leave a small opening in the top of the lantern as shown, don’t glue everything in completely.
