Make a Star Wars DIY Chewbacca Bandolier Hair Bow and, I don’t know… fly casual
I made this DIY Chewbacca Bandolier Bow for my Chewie Disneybound outfit. I can’t wait for Star Wars Land to open at Disneyland. I will be Disneybounding as often as I can; Star Wars is one of my all time favorite fandoms! Wear this bow to represent your Star Wars fandom or take it Disney Bounding. Whatever you do, just have some Fangirl fun with it.

How To Make A Chewbacca Bandolier Hair Bow
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED
download the pattern
light brown fur or felt
brown and gray felt
glue gun and glue sticks
scissors
barrette
binder clip
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Download and print out the pattern from craftymcfangirl.com and trim out all of the pattern pieces.
Cut out the Felt: Start with the pattern pieces that say light brown fur/felt. Cut out the two pieces from light brown fur. Next, cut out two pieces of medium brown felt using the pattern pieces. And finally cut out the 6 small pieces of gray felt.
Glue the Felt: With your glue gun, glue the six pieces of gray felt to the wide medium brown felt. Glue down a sequence of square, rectangle, square, rectangle, square, rectangle and make sure to leave a space between the first three and the last three. Then glue the thin medium brown stripe on top of the gray squares.
Glue the whole piece onto the tan piece right down the center. Flip over the whole piece, and glue down each side of the tan and brown felt, leaving a half-inch of space in the center.
Trim of the corners of the tan felt on the back so you can wrap the center of the bow. Pinch the center of the bow together and glue it. Then glue the small strip around the center. Use a binder clip to hold the middle piece on while the glue cools and hardens.
Next, use a generous amount of hot glue to attach the barrette on the back of the bow and use the binder clip to hold it in place until the glue cools and hardens. Once the glue is cool, your project is done.
