Make a Shadow Man Hat for Disneybounding
Do you wish you had friends on the other side? Well now you can Disneybound as Dr. Facilier when you make this fun Shadow Man Hat DIY craft. This makes a great accessory for Princess and the Frog Disney bounding. I have done it, and I promise you will get some attention if you go to the parks wearing this hat.

DIY Shadow Man Hat
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED
Costume Hat
Red Ribbon
White craft foam
Purple Paint
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
To get stared, you can search online for the Shadow Man’s skull and cross bones. Also, my Patrons can download this pattern on my Patreon.
Print out your skull and crossbones pattern to the size you want, and then trim out the pattern.
Trace each of the pattern pieces onto a piece of white craft foam
To trim out the white foam skull and bones. I used both a craft knife and a small pair of scissors.
I wanted a purple feather for my hat, but I didn’t have one. So I used two colors of purple paint to cover a regular feather. Just make sure the paint dries in between applications.
I used a black top hat from a costume shop. These are inexpensive hats made of stiffened felt. And red satin ribbon that is 2 inches wide.
Heat up your hot glue gun for the next part. Hot glue the ribbon down hiding the raw edges underneath
Next it’s time to apply the skull and cross bones. Since we don’t have a really tall hat like the Shadow Man does, We need to apply the skull at the very top of the hat in the front center. Then glue the bones down . But make sure to look at an example of the Shadow Man’s hat first. It is not an equal x the bottom of the bones should be glued a bit closer together than the top.
the final step is to add the feather with hot glue, it should be place near the back but on your left side.
