Some Summoners hate him, and others love him, but this sad mummy boy just wants to be your friend forever. And now you can make a little Amumu charm for yourself.

Make an Amumu Charm

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED

green and gold polymer clay
clay tools
Xacto blade
gloss glaze
optional eye pin

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Make the Head: Roll out a thin layer of green clay and cut thin strips for bandages. Then create Amumu’s head. Starting with a flattened oval shape. Add strips of bandages, leaving space for Amumu’s mouth. Next push in small holes for the eyes.

Make the Eyes: To make Amumu’s eyes I mixed yellow clay with a metallic gold. Place two small balls of golden clay for Amumu’s eyes. Make sure they look big and sad.

Make the Body: Make an oval of green clay for Amumu’s body, and add bandages. Connect the head and body pieces.

Make the Legs and Feet: The legs are small ovals wrapped in tiny bandages. Make holes for the legs to attach to the body then add the feet. The feet are half circles with tiny bandages. Press in holes to attach the feet to the legs.

Make the Arms: Create Amumu’s arms with two snakes of clay. Add the bandage texture with a ball tool instead of wrapping bandages, so that the arms do not get too thick and bulky. Also add tiny little fingers. He has three fingers and a thumb on each hand. Smooth the tiny digits on with a ball tool.  Then attach the arms to the body. Pose your figure any way you like.

Add Bandages: If any of your bandage details have gotten messed up during the process, you can use your ball tool to redefine the edges.  Then, add two final bandages to Amumu; one trailing from his foot and one from his head.

Add a Smile: Using your cutting blade, give Amumu a sad little smile. Now is also the time to add an eye pin if you want to turn your figurine into a charm.

Bake according to the instructions on your clay package.  Baking time and temperature will vary by clay brand and the size of your project.

Once your Amumu figure is baked and cooled, you can add a layer or two of gloss glaze. Any your sad little mummy boy is done. Amumu is ready to go out in search of a friend.
