How To Make A Fantastic Beasts Book Box
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED
print out the pattern
black felt
scissors
papier-mâché book box
black acrylic paint
paint brush
mod podge matte
glue gun and glue sticks
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Download and print out the pattern and cut out the book cover portion.
Paint the papier-mâché box with black acrylic paint. Make sure to paint the entire box, inside and out. It may take you more than one coat of paint to get opaque coverage. Let the paint dry completely between coats. Once you have the entire box covered, let the paint dry completely before continuing.
Trace the box shape onto the book cover printout. Trim the book cover to fit the front of your box and then use mod podge to glue the cover into place. Make sure you have the cover facing the correct direction before you glue it down.
Measure the size of the inside of your box and cut a piece of black felt according to those inside measurements. Then hot glue the felt into the box.
Paint a layer of Mod Podge Matte on the top of the cover to seal and protect it. Once the Mod Podge has dried, your Fantastic Beasts Book box is done.
