Create Some Creepy Candlelight With This Halloween Decoration DIY
You can make these Halloween decoration candles with recycled cardboard rolls and hot glue. Add a little paint and a flameless candle and you are done. This DIY craft is fast, easy and inexpensive, so make as many creepy candles as you want. They are perfect decorations for a Halloween party. You might even want to bring them back out for the holidays.

DIY Halloween Decoration Candles
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED
recycled toilet paper or paper towel tubes
white acrylic paint
paint brush
flameless battery powered tea lights
scissors
mod podge
glue gun and several glue sticks
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Paint your cardboard tubes white, tan, or whatever color matches your décor.
When the paint has dried completely, it’s time to add the tea light. Make sure that you have batteries in each candle and that they light up.
Hot glue the candle inside the cardboard roll. If your candle fits exactly, just glue it in. If your candle is smaller than the tube you will need to cut the tube open first. Glue the candle inside. And then glue down the seam.
Once your candle is secure, it’s time to add the dripping wax effect. Use your glue gun to create a series of glue drips around the top of the candle. Allow the glue to drip on its own for the most realistic look. Let the glue cool and harden before continuing.
Paint the wax drips to make them look like they are part of the candle. Also paint the top of the tea light to make the entire thing the same color. Make sure to NOT paint the flame portion of the tea light.
When the paint is dry on all of your candles. you may want to cut them to varying heights so they look more interesting in a cluster.
The last step is to give each candle a coat of Mod Podge. This gives your candles a glossy waxy look. Once the Mod Podge is dry, your candles are done.
