This DIY Pocahontas Magnet Set Makes A Great Disney Princess Gift

DIY Pocahontas Magnet Set
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED
bottle caps
Pocahontas stickers
mod podge matte
paint brush
glue gun and glue sticks
magnets
scissors
decorative paper
metal tin
one inch round punch optional
one inch round clear epoxy stickers optional
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Hot glue a magnet inside each bottle cap. Make sure that there is enough glue in the cap to make the magnet stick up a little over the bottle cap rim.
Next take your sticker sheet and a one inch round punch and punch out six stickers, one image for each bottle cap. Make sure the image is centered. The paper puncher is optional. You can do this part of the craft with scissors if you want to. Save a few extra stickers for later.
Peel and stick all of the stickers onto the bottle caps. If you are using artwork you printed out, instead of stickers, you can stick them on with glue or mod podge.
Now we are going to work on a decorative box to store the magnets in. Take a piece of pretty card stock and trace the metal tin you are using. Trace out three pieces of paper. One for the top and two for the inside. Make sure the paper can fit inside the tin and that the corners are rounded.
Protect the surface you are working on. Then use mod podge to attach the paper to the tin. Use a thin coating on the tin and make sure you press all of the air bubbles out from the center to the sides as you smooth the paper down. Then repeat the process with the two inside pieces. Let the Mod Podge dry completely before continuing.
Once the Mod Podge is dry, it’s time to decorate with stickers on the lid and inside.
Cover the paper and stickers with a generous coat of Mod Podge and let it dry completely.
Once the Mod Podge is completely dry, you can add the magnets into the tin. Your Pocahontas magnet gift set could be done or you can add an optional final step.
Peel and stick on epoxy stickers for bottle caps. They add a glossy dome to the artwork. If you like the glossy look, you can add them to all of your magnets for a professional looking finish.
