This Die Hard Christmas decoration is the perfect holiday craft for someone who loves to work with perler beads. There are over three thousand beads used in this project. Just put on some Christmas music and chill out for a couple of hours as you watch the design unfold. The pattern can also be used to make a traditional cross stitch sampler if you prefer to stitch instead of melt.

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Separate your perler beads into four bowls, by color. Start with a white border. There is a single line of white perler beads all around the design. Follow the pattern and fill in the design. It takes about an hour and a half to complete.
If you need to take a break, place a large piece of tin foil over your project to keep your work safe and secure until you come back to it
When you get to the last two rows you will want to leave a hole at each top corner for your ribbon to go through. Measure the ribbon you are using to make sure it will fit.
Once your beads are all placed, cover the entire sampler with a piece of ironing paper. Iron the project evenly. Make sure every bead fuses. Lift your corners to check that all the beads are melting together well.
Let the piece cool and then remove it from the project pegboard. Place it face down on an ironing pad and cover it with the ironing paper. Then fuse the back of the sampler. Ironing both sides with give the piece much more stability.
The last step is to get your ribbon and scissors. Measure the length of ribbon you want for the hanger and tie it to each corner.
